Cobwebs, rust and old trucks...

I consider myself a landscape photographer, but occasionally I'll wander off the trail and take pictures of non-natural subjects. I find myself especially attracted to signs of age and 'character', which is something that I can't define, but know it when I feel it. I am especially drawn to old trucks. If one day someone were to dig through my old slides and negatives, they would find dozens of images of old, rusty trucks. But no cars. Not sure why that is, but it may have to do with my roots in the old west.

Years ago I traveled out to southwest Colorado in the fall to look for aspen scenes....and came back with a great shot of a very old truck abandoned in an old barn. This particular images is more recent, and comes from my favorite little town in the Southwest: Bluff., Utah. I am told that this old Dodge still runs, at least occasionally. But I think the owner keeps it parked outside her business as a sort of living artwork.
